Migrant Leaders continues to collaborate with BP

conferences Feb 09, 2024

Our partnership with BP continues to go from strength to strength, following the company’s work with Migrant Leaders over the last two years.

BP launched its global Work Experience programme in July. As a partner organisation, 10 of our young people attended a five-day paid Work Experience programme; and in October, BP hosted a one-day Insights event for a further 110 young people from the Migrant Leaders programme.

BP UK Skills Partnerships Manager, Tom Thayer explained:“Our aim is to bridge the gap between education and employment, by helping young people to develop the key skills and confidence they need for a future in the workplace. We know we’ve been successful if a young person leaves our programme feeling more confident, able to articulate their individual strengths and have a better understanding of the working world.”

Elham Fardad, Founder and CEO of Migrant Leaders expressed:

“We are so pleased to have BP as a Migrant Leaders corporate partner. Large companies such as BP are a great engine for social mobility to help young people gain skills, confidence, and ways of work.”
