We are delighted to announce that Migrant Leaders is collaborating once again with Hempsons, a leading healthcare law firm, to offer an outstanding Careers in Law work experience opportunity for Year 12 students based in Manchester.

This programme is designed to give students meaningful insight into the legal profession, helping them explore future pathways into law through real-world exposure and professional support.

Work Experience Programme Details

This two-day, in-person experience will take place at Hempsons’ Manchester office:

📅 Dates: 8–9 July 2026
🕘 Time: 9:00am – 5:00pm
📍 Location: Hempsons, Manchester

Students will:

• Gain valuable exposure to the day-to-day work of a law firm

• Learn directly from sector specialists in healthcare law

• Receive guidance and encouragement from a dedicated Hempsons buddy

Last year’s participants described the experience as:

“An extremely insightful experience, which pushes you out of your comfort zone in the most comfortable way.”

What Hempsons Is Looking For

Applicants are asked to submit a 200–300 word cover letter including:

• Your educational background

• Your career interests

• Why you would like to join the Hempsons work experience programme

• What aspects of Hempsons’ work you find most interesting, and why
