Migrant Leaders Takes Part in Eutopia Collaboration of European Universities

During a workshop co-organised by Warwick’s EUTOPIA partner the University of Ljubljana, Elham Fardad delivered a presentation about inclusion and diversity in corporate spheres, sharing her experiences and advice from over two decades in senior leadership roles across global businesses. She discussed how students can discover job opportunities and create connections on the global stage, such as enrolling in virtual internships and taking part in mentoring programmes with experienced professionals.

Migrant Leaders Partnership with Smith & Nephew Delivers Deep Dive into STEM Careers

We are delighted to announce that the Migrant Leaders partnership with Smith & Nephew is continuing for a second year bringing insights, exposure and experiences to our deserving young mentees. Thank you everyone at Smith & Nephew.
Our next project delivered on 13th July, was a deep dive into STEM careers through a multi-workstream digital workshop for our mentees. This workshop challenged stereotypes and promoted diversity and inclusion in STEM careers. The Smith & Nephew team demonstrated the variety of careers available with STEM qualifications within one company. Our Mentees saw a mechanical engineering experiment and a technology pitch as examples of typical workshop tasks. The Talent Acquisition team provided insights into how recruitment works to help our young people consider how their skills and abilities translate to the workplace. They heard what a good CV looks like, how to write covering letters and learned about skills employers are looking for.

We are delighted to bring our resilience module to life with our webinar with Winston Ben Clements on 8th July 2020.

Winston Ben Clements was predicted to live a life of isolation and pain due to a rare bone disorder known as Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI). This condition caused his bones to be extremely fragile, suffering over 200 fractures in his lifetime. Despite this, he has taken a stand for a quality of life that knows no excuses and no limits.

Winston has shared his story on stages, conferences and media platforms all around the world. He specialises in resilience and leadership training as well as diversity and inclusion.
