We are thrilled by our first collaboration with KPMG , a packed insight day informing our mentees about the apprenticeship and graduate opportunities, services and career stories at KPMG. After lunch and networking, the skills building sessions followed on commercial acumen and interview skills. The Partner presentations were all absolutely inspirational and each of them unique.

We are delighted to announce our partnership with Kingfisher Plc, following the company’s continuing support of Migrant Leaders over the last 24 months.
This first formal collaboration with Kingfisher, a Vision Day was delivered after many months of preparation with our Migrant Leaders and Kingfisher colleagues. We took Migrant Leaders mentees through presentations, panels and very interactive Q&A sessions about their career stories, departments and banners. After a tour of the beautiful new Kingfisher Plc offices at Paddington, our Migrant Leaders mentees were divided into 4 groups to prepare and present their thoughts and learnings back to Kingfisher professionals and leadership.

We are proud that our charity has been highlighted, by our CEO being recognised by Their Majesties The King and The Queen Consort as part of the official Coronation celebrations in conjunction with Royal Voluntary Service.
With the support of Her Majesty The Queen Consort, a passionate advocate of volunteering and President of Royal Voluntary Service, the Coronation Champions Awards were launched to recognise exceptional volunteers from across the country at this momentous point in history. Across the UK, 500 Champions dazzled the judging panel with the impact of their work, their inspirational stories and unwavering commitment to volunteering. We are thrilled by our first collaboration with First Mode, a 3 day internship focused on sustainability in heavy industries. We brought some of our most talented and innovative Migrant Leaders engineering and STEM students to First Mode.
This immersive internship started with an introduction to the sustainability problem we are trying to solve and multiple technology, modelling and presentation workshops to enable them to pull together and present a business plan using their own idea. During this internship they also heard career stories from First Mode professionals and had the opportunity to meet them, ask questions and network. They were also be introduced to and heard the First Mode Chief Executive talk about what he does as a CEO.

We are delighted to continue our Migrant Leaders Kantar Public annual internship this April. The one week internship was a hybrid of online interactive sessions and one day for our interns to visit Kantar Public in their office in Westminster.
Migrant Leaders Founder & CEO Elham Fardad continues on a roadshow of visits to schools, colleges and universities across Britain to speak to educators and disadvantaged young people. She emphasises that “We must continue to understand challenges and aspirations in communities and to leverage the relationships we have across the corporate sectors to connect communities and schools with industry. Social mobility will come from cross sector collaboration.”
This approach was further boosted by inviting all Migrant Leaders mentors to a webinar, introducing the school leaders and students at Wembley High Technology College to Migrant Leaders mentors. This resulted in many mentors volunteering further by going into the school to speak to students. Elham Fardad plans to continue this approach of elevating schools such as those part of the Shared Learning Trust, where she is a Governor
