We are proud of the STEM conference we delivered with Smith & Nephew to the talented young Mentees on our Migrant Leaders development programme. This valuable conference included presentations, Speed STEM sessions, product demos and tours of the surgical training facilities among the many other features of this dynamic quality experience for our deserving young people. Our STEM Employers Programme seeks to bring hands on quality experiences and insights to our Mentees and to inspire them by a variety of STEM careers. We are proud to launch the Migrant Leaders Young Leader Modules. This quarter was in part about continuing to deliver our comprehensive programme of conferences, workshops and mentoring outlined attached. To gain the best outcomes from our development programme, we have further strengthened the support we provide our 240 young mentees and 250 senior mentors who work in a wide variety of fields across more than 95 leading firms. One of the ways we are providing deeper support to our mentees and mentors is through the launch of our Digital Zone, sharing our charity’s resources, guidance and our Young Leader modules as an additional framework our mentors can utilise to have quality mentoring conversations. We developed our Young Leader Model to enable young people from underrepresented backgrounds to build the success characteristics needed to fulfil their potential and gain a mindset of giving back to society. You can register on our Digital Zone to view these modules: http://bit.ly/2P3S...
In October 2019 we launched the Migrant Leaders Digital Zone, sharing our charity's impact and resources with young people across the country. We are particularly proud of our Young Leader Model we developed so that young people from underrepresented backgrounds can build the success characteristics needed to fulfil their potential and become sustainable leaders.

We are delighted to launch our Leaders Like Us campaign at Migrant Leaders. Our ‘Leaders Like Us’ campaign of interviews with our mentors is an opportunity to share their career stories, tips and hints with all our mentees and young people across the country. We would like to help young people of all backgrounds feel inspired to succeed, gain insights and access to a diverse set of leaders they feel they can relate to.

Elham Fardad proudly presented our Young Leaders Panel from Migrant Leaders at the WinTrade conference hosted by Mastercard. The Young Leaders Panel response to her talk on the State of Corporate Diversity Today was that this is their opportunity to shape corporate diversity of tomorrow. We are truly proud to be associated with these and many other young people on the Migrant Leaders Development Programme.

We celebrate the countless successes of our Mentees and the deserving young people we work with. Among the many success stories 3 examples stand out:
Congratulations to Wasifa on receiving an offer to study medicine at UCL:
“This development programme and my mentor have given me opportunities by visiting the UCL campus with me before my interview where my mentor graduated from herself and she did a mock interview with me which led to UCL offering me a place. She even worked with Migrant Leaders to arrange for an afternoon of talks by doctors from different specialities including the first female black orthopaedic surgeon appointed in the UK who was born in Guyana. The Migrant Leaders special development programme has made me realise I can achieve my dream of helping people and developing countries through my career in medicine.”
Congratulations to Luke on entering the prestigious EY summer internship programme:
“My Mentor has encouraged me and helped me remove very real barriers...
This conference helps our Young Mentees imagine a future without barriers. We achieve this by bringing together our Mentees and Mentors in this conference with an exciting agenda of speakers, discussion panel, Q&A and networking session. Our Mentees gain an opportunity to speak directly with multiple Mentors from a wide range of companies and technical fields. Importantly, they gain exposure and feel comfortable with imagining a future at these companies.
